U.S. Army Soldier Show

The U.S. Army Soldier Show is a high-energy, 90-minute live musical production preformed entirely by active duty Soldiers under the direction of Army Entertainment Division staff. Soldiers are selected by audition from throughout the Army. These Soldiers, who have a passion for music, dance and performing, come from various units around the world and specialize in a variety of military occupations. The show consists of up to 40 songs from categories like country, pop, rhythm and blues, rap, classic oldies, Broadway show tunes, and patriotic songs. The U.S. Army Soldier Show is assembled in five weeks, and then tours for six months reaching over 100,000 people at over 50 locations worldwide. Games & Tournaments

Video Games have become one of the most popular leisure activities for Soldiers in the Army. MWR offers a array of video game promotions and tournaments on U.S Army garrisons worldwide including Xbox tournaments, and Wii Challenges. Army Concert Tour

A first-rate concert tour with top name rock, pop, hip-hop and country performers, this five month long summer music tour is open to the public and includes 6-10 outdoor festival style concerts.  Each year, nationally recognized entertainers, like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Sammy Hagar, Creed and more, draw more than 60,000 attendees in this nationwide tour. Proceeds from ticket and concession sales at the local post are used to fund and sustain MWR programs. Custom Concert Tour

food & beverage image In conjunction with the “Army Concert Tour”, Army MWR hosts a series of several other concert tours featuring nationally recognized artists in pop, rock, hip-hop, and country. The latest of these tours being the “I. A.M. Strong” Tour, an uplifting entertainment tour featuring singer Leigh Jones, that emphasized the “I. A.M. Strong” message of prevention of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Sponsorship of a custom concert tour presents unique opportunities in the form of advertisements, on-site signage and displays, cross promotions and more. 

Book & Movie Promotions

Just like civilians, Army soldiers and their Families love entertainment of all kinds. Book and movie promotions offer great partnership opportunities for many different corporations. Army MWR is proud to host a series of book promotions that stress the importance of reading to children, while also premiering new movies for Soldiers and their Families to enjoy. Operation Rising Star

Held at 35 Army garrisons around the world, Operation Rising Star is an eight-week long singing competition using a format similar to American Idol Each garrison winner submits a video out of which 12 winners will be selected for the live finals. The week-long live "Finals Competition" will air on the Pentagon Channel and on the Army’s www.oprisingstar.com website. Where viewers vote for their favorite performer.  Partner with this exciting talent competition and build your brand’s awareness, image and sales by targeting the viable military market.

Military Travel Programs

Army Soldiers and their Families are always on the move. Therefore Army MWR offers several different travel promotions to its Soldiers, Families, Retirees and Civilians. Travel promotions include discounted hotel accommodations, tours, cruises and attractions at destinations all over the world. Partners share fees directly back to MWR to benefit Soldiers in other programs and services.

Golf & Bowling Promotions

Support America's Soldiers through customized promotional opportunities at golf and bowling centers around the world including Bowlopolis.  Bowlopolis introduces the sport of bowling to children and grows the sport.

Operation Military Kids

Operation Military Kids (OMK) is the U.S. Army's collaborative effort with America's communities to support children and youth impacted by deployment. Regardless of whether Families are experiencing deployment for the first time, the second time or another in a series of multiple deployments, OMK’s goal is to connect military children and youth with local resources in order to achieve a sense of community support and enhance their well-being. Warrior Adventure Quest

A high-adventure Outdoor Recreation (ODR) program designed as part of the Army’s holistic approach to reset, Warrior Adventure Quest was put together to provide a positive outlet for Soldiers returning home following deployment. The program helps Soldiers to become better acclimated with the normal lifestyle back home by providing them with constructive and exciting activities. Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS)

The Army knows that young single Soldiers have issues unique to their age group. Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) is a dynamic Department of the Army program designed to enhance the single Soldiers quality of life, contribute to their community through Community Service activities, and assist in the planning and execution of their own Recreation and Leisure events.  BOSS offers Soldiers, 18-25 years old, video game tournaments, sports-themed activities and outdoor events. Forty eight percent of the active Army is comprised of single Soldiers, the BOSS program serves as a great partnership opportunity for those looking to directly reach this demographic.

World Class Athlete Program

Taking sports to the ultimate level, the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) provides outstanding Soldier-athletes the support and training needed to compete and succeed in national and international competitions leading to Olympic and Paralympic games, while maintaining a professional military career and promoting the U.S. Army and its partners to the world. MWR Planning Calendar

The MWR Planning Calendar is a comprehensive calendar outlining all Army MWR programs, and events over the course of one fiscal year.
